New Stuff Coming . . . .

Well, as I haven't posted for a while, I thought I would just let you all know that I am still here and that the range is continuing to expand.

I have set Richard on this months figure list, which he is making a start on now.

By the way, just in case anyone was wondering, the reason the new releases have slowed down is because I have to now share Richard with that damned interloper Jim Purky, with his AWI range (lovely figures) and joining the fray as well recently is Graham Cummings, with his '45 Rebellion range, which are also exquisite. This all means that my range is going to grow a lot more slowly than it did at the start, but nevertheless it will continue to grow. I wish both Jim and Graham huge success with their ranges by the way, just in case anyone seriously thought I was actually being ungracious above.

Right back to this months sculpts, which as well as filling in a few holes, introduces something a bit new too.

First up, having seen Grahams Highland Clansmen ( http://scotiaalbion.blogspot.co.uk/ ) and after speaking to him at the Partizan show in May, I have decided to support his range by adding to my own Highlanders with a firing line set of figures, which will include an officer, drummer, piper, standard bearer, standing firing, standing at the ready, kneeling firing and kneeling at the ready figures. (Sorry again about that snapped bayonet at Partizan Graham)

It has been pointed out to me several times that I only have a single marching Hungarian Grenadier in my range, so that is being addressed in this round of sculpting too, with a new officer, drummer, nco and ensign to round them out.

I am also determined that I want some civilians, so for a change from workmen, Richard will be making two mounted ladies and two mounted gentlemen, designed to fit the light horses in the range.

Ok, that's all my news for now and I will post again when I have some nice piccies of greens to show you.

Happy gaming,

Frank

Well what can I say but thank you, the figures are complimentary, the bayonet is repaired and yes I will want some of your firing line.

I see an evil conspiracy designed to get make me do the Jacobite Rebellion all over again!!!!!!

I fear that the plan may well work, especially with Highlanders firing.

I like the idea of civilian ladies and gents riding. You might consider doing a mounted and dismounted version for skirmish games.

Prussian kettle drummer perhaps? Austrian horse grenadiers too.

OK, I'll shut up now.

Jim

I second all DAF's suggestions and ideas...I will be buying the skirmishing Scots and Civilians. In fact, I would be interested in as many light troops as possible to feed in my Panduren! games...

Great news... now if someone could do a few FIW figures that would be very nice...

This is great news about finishing off the gaps in the Hungarian grenadiers - very welcome additions to the range. A mounted grenadier officer would be jolly nice too, if it were possible please.

I like the idea of the mounted civilians: some gentry spectators for my forthcoming battles would be fine.

Very best wishes for the continued success of your range Frank. I look forward to seeing the 'greens'.

V pleased to hear that you will do some civilians - if possible could you consider some attendant servants in livery ie holding a decanter of wine etc and if it does not sound too politically incorrect, some sort of negro servant/horse holder etc.

Guy

Sounds promising Frank, revisiting civilians is a good option, as is filling in the gaps. Top job ol' boy.

Civilians again, not bad news? Next order i will want them.
I understand the production of 'Scots' also they are not really in my interest.
Anyway still i need to 'collect' many different models from the existing range, so i must not have new 'pure' SYW soldiers.
But now i have thoughts about firing Prussians, Austrians..... ^^
