Huzzah! More Figures Coming at Last!

Richard contacted me last night and said that he was going to do his best to get back to work and asked what I wanted making. He did explain that his concentration was not up to speed yet and that he still had a lot going on, but he needed to get back to work and was so familiar with my stuff that he felt he could do some conversion work for me and maybe a new figure or two.

So, despite what I said we would do two posts ago, this is the list of figures I have asked Richard to do now . . . .

1 x Prussian Cuirassier Kettle Drummer
2 x Prussian Carpenter Pioneers, one marching, one standing.
4 x French Hussars
2 x Civilian Gentlemen on foot
2 x Civilian Ladies on foot
5 x armed Civilians on foot.

This will fill a master mould and I will update you when I have something to show you.

The inspiration for the Kettle Drummer and Pioneers comes from the two books I received as a gift from Axel Heinz in Germany, a customer for a while and great SYW Prussian Army enthusiast. The two books by Dorn/Engelmann are beautifully illustrated, one covering the Infantry Regiments and one the Cavalry. It feels nice to be able to post something positive again and I bet that most of you thought that I had disappeared for good :-)

Kettle drummers and pioneers at last! Bless you Frank, bless you. My Prussians will appreciate this very much. The civilians sound interesting too.

The Prussian kettledrummer and pioneers would be lovely additions to your range. I look forward to making a purchase or two. Well done!

Glad to hear that Richard is making his way out of the woods!
As for your cast of figures, it looks scarily as though you were reading my mind... I shall need at least two of everything - more of the hussars if you also read the bit about them skirmishing.

Good to hear that Richard is making headway. I will have to break any resolution to restrain myself as these are all must haves"! Excellent!

Re. the pioneers: Dorn's text says they were supposed to have handed in their muskets by 1753, although this order may not have been immediately followed in all units. So how about doing one with a slung musket, the other with just his axe, to keep everybody happy?

Great News!

Not much more to 'write' ^^.
Anyway because i won't order dozends of kettledrummers i will wait still for my next order (again with 'commons') until this cuirassier musician will be available, and sure then also civilians and pioneers!

Best regards!
